New Exhibit   On Display from March 5 - May 5

Bitter Sweet: a collection of street photographs by Arlene Gottfried.

Since the early 70's Arlene Gottfried has created her own private document of the city, a precious mix of moments that can lead the viewer to laugh, cry and sometimes blush. She captures a New York we sometimes don't like and yet love. And if her images make us look away, we quickly return to examine them closer. We know, we can sense, that she got it right. Tim Murphy of New York Magazine recently described Gottfried as a "quiet defender of the grimly vibrant denizens of an older New York that's disappearing daily."
